SDMB Poetry Sweatshop - Feb. 2010 edition, logistics thread.

Hey, that’s *seven *words!

I’ve got a reminder on my calendar, so hopefully I’ll be able to participate this time.

Mine’s done - off to the gym!

Oh, a minor point, but if you could please include your SDMB username in the e-mail, it would be extremely helpful.

Mine too! Kind of worked out well, based on recent activities.

Mine’s done and submitted. I slaved over it. Couldn’t quite figure out how to come at it… but it was fun! Thanks again.

melodyharmonius, Elendil’s Heir: I’ve got both of those - well done!

Bump to encourage people to participate.

There, done.

I awoke to find your poem in my Inbox - great work!

Pandoranoid - got your poem this afternoon. First class!

With twenty hours to go, I have five poems so far. I’m hoping some more Doper Poets feel up to a challenge this weekend.

I’ll be doing one tonight or first thing tomorrow. My in-laws are in town and my whole family took part in our temple Purimspiel, so I’ve been sort of busy.

By all means, the more the merrier!

Submitted mine.

Crowbar of Irony +3, AppallingGael - got yours. Fantastic!

I’m hoping mine arrived on time and well, for some reason, the logic of timezones sometimes eludes me…

But anyway, a thought I had, probably too late for this month’s edition, but maybe as an incentive for further ones – since we have a custom title option now, how about offering, as a first prize, the title of ‘poet laureate’ to the winner of each contest? I’m sure we’d find someone to sponsor this, heck, I’d pitch in myself towards the $2 for a month-long custom title… It’s perhaps a bit corny at first sight, but, if done with the right rogueish wink, it could be a bit of fun – plus, there’s an off-chance that it might persuade one or two poetic holdouts to join in!

Done! That was fun!

And if I win, I’m totally changing my custom title to say SDMB POET LAUREATE!

I’ve said this before, but there is something remarkable about waking up to find three poems in your Inbox that no one else has yet read. Half Man Half Wit, Maserschmidt and Serenata67, thank you for making my day.

You’re welcome! I’m glad I could brighten someone’s day!

The Hamster King - got that! Lovely job! Hope the purimspiel went well!

Would it be worthwhile to extend the deadline to Tuesday or so? Not that I’m looking for more competition, mind you…
