And mine has been sent. Can’t wait to read all the other stories! Really interesting combination of words and photo this time. I just hope there are more sci-fi fans this time.
Wow, that was confusing! G-mail somehow continued our ‘conversation’ from the last contest. I thought you’d sent your story a couple of days ago and was surprised to see a second story from you. I’ve got it sorted out, now.
I’m having a difficult time getting any ideas going for this one, and it doesn’t appear as if I’ll have an entry. But I’ll look forward to reading the stories, and voting and commenting. Good luck to all!
Dammit! Not gonna have time after all to participate. Alas, maybe next time!
I’ll try to read everybody’s story and vote…
I sent mine in several hours early! I kinda like how it came out, but I guess we’ll see what the voters think.
I also sent mine, I made an effort to edit more, but as always, I expect the warts to show a lot.
Thank you again Le Ministre de l’au-delà.
I finished my story! And… it’s terrible, and I don’t think I want to enter it, but the important thing is that I was able to finish a story. Maybe in a couple months I can even pull it out and make something of it. So thanks for that, M. le Ministre!
Tease!
Yeah! Come on** Irri**, feel the fear and do it anyway.
I would have to second those urging you to submit your story despite your misgivings. One of the best reasons for letting others view your work is that you know what it is you were trying to say. Someone else reading your piece will naturally offer a more objective criticism because they only know what is in front of them - they don’t necessarily know about the research you did, the sub-plot you abandoned, the other ideas you rejected. It’s the primary advantage of a setting like this. Because we writers have all been under the same constraint, we are gentler with each other than a professional editor might be.
Plus, honestly - how bad could it possibly be? I speak only for myself, but I have never been completely satisfied with a story that I have written for one of these. Does it matter? The important thing is that you took the time as a writer to channel your creativity into a ‘finished’ product, something that makes all the difference between professional writers and writers who collect unfinished plot synopses.
What Le Ministre said, and we have just until 10 PM today, any late entries?
