Here’s a thought that’s been kicking around in my head lately: what can one put on a vanity plate (max of 7 characters and a space, in most US states), other than a Doper username, that would instantly identify you as a Doper to another Doper?
It would likely have to refer to some weirdness that was SDMB-specific, as opposed to more general forms of Web weirdnesses: for instance, there are plenty of non-Dopers who know what AYBABTU stands for.
I’ve come up with a few, but not many:
THANK OG
OG SMASH
THNK IPU
20S DRAY
At least, I believe the use of Og’s name in such fashions is unique to the SDMB, though now that I’ve relied on it.
I discarded CITE PLS because there are other environments, such as the law, that expect cites.
I kinda anticipated that if I tossed out three ideas, at least one of them would turn out to have origins outside the board. Just didn’t know which one.
