My cards are all over my mantel looking all cheerful. And I’m looking forward to getting more. I like having Valentine’s Day stretch out to take up as much of February as it likes. It’s fun to see all the different ways people can be creative.

gee - I’m sorry I wasn’t creative - except for the hot pink mailing labels…
I loved my Valentines! There was a nice assortment of handmade, store bought, and little treats. I hope everyone received my little critters undamaged.
hugs,
Purple Haze
Got cards from Scuba_Ben, gardentraveler, Jahdra, and twickster!
Thank you all for re-introducing me to the playful spirit of Valentines Day. I’m a guy. For the last 40 years, I have been grinding this “damn Hallmark holiday” beneath my heel, barely acknowledging the event and refusing to participate in even the slightest way. (in 17 years of marriage, I think my ex-wife got 3 or 4 Valentine cards). I hadn’t had fun with Valentines Day since I was an innocent 3rd grader. So I’m a slow learner. I had a blast participating in the SDMB exchange! Thanks to everyone who participated, special thanks to Bratti Atti for her efforts!
Hope you had as much fun with this as I did.
Who knew you could mail a bottle? Now that’s practical ignorance fighting…
Of course you were creative…choice of cards (I still love Snoopy) counts as creativity…and the labels were fun, too.
I started participating in this last year, Way Too Happy and it made Valentine’s Day really fun. Couldn’t keep from joining in again this year.
I got a bobblehead from Purple Haze today. It’s going to the office.
Thanks everyone!

My daughter and I had so much fun making the valentines, even if they were amateurish. And we have really enjoyed all the valentines we’ve been getting! Thanks so much, everyone. And Nawth Chucka, whose valentine was chock full of all kinds of goodies and surprises, they all arrived safe and sound. What a great idea the Valentine’s Exchange is, and so glad I decided to participate.
Thanks to everyone who’s been sending stuff, but special thanks to Nawth Chucka, who sent a veritable care package of Valentine’s goodness.
And thanks to those who sent stuff late – I love that it’s *still * an exciting adventure seeing what came in the mail each day!
May I just say that you have GORGEOUS handwriting for a guy. Well, for anyone for that matter.
Like so many others, I want to thank everyone for the beautiful cards I’ve received (or will receive shortly), and thank BrattiAtti for putting this all together. My cards went out on Monday, so if they haven’t arrived yet, they will shortly.
A huge thanks for all the very fun and sweet Valentines! They were a lovely mix of gifts and creative cards; we have such artistic people on these boards! The little prizes are a kick. I’m glad you liked mine as well, they were fun to put together, thinking of folks’ reactions when they got opened after I crammed them in the envelopes…
Tripler didn’t get one from me, though I did buy him a valet and we reached Zen.
Is that what the kids are calling it these days? [sub]Well, I guess it is the steakhouse’s name on Watson Blvd.[/sub]
I agree! That was fun. Except for the part where Nawth Chucka ordered me to stay out of the garage for my own safety. She built all of the Valentines in there, and she had something like three Ewoks, four dwarves, eight gray aliens, three Russian dancing bears, and a midget named ‘Frank’ working three shifts in there on the assembly line.
Thank you guys, though! She’ll vouch: I got all of the ladies done first, and then did the ones for the guys.
Tripler
Poor ‘Frank’ had to whittle the pencils. . . by hand.
Tripler’s exact words were, “I’ll do all the guys tomorrow, I’m too tired to do them tonight.” Hmph - lightweight!
Mystery Valentine!
We got a mystery valentine in Saturday’s mail - no return address, unsigned. Hand-made and purty. Thank you, mysterious valentine.
Yay! I finally have something to use to decorate my Guitar Hero Guitar. I’ve been looking everywhere for cool stuff. I now have a large red, meduim pink, and small white heart on my very red, very rockin’ fake guitar
Thanks everyone for making me enjoy Valentine’s Day again!
Everyone - thanks for the valentines. They really brightened my week last week.

Many many thanks from me too! The whole of last week was full of surprises in the mailbox, and everyone else in our house went asking why I suddenly got so many letters full of hearts and candy: I just smiled at them and kept the lollies for myself
Came home from a weekend out of town to a mailbox full of valentines! Thank you, everyone! (And especial thanks to BrattiAtti for coordinating! What would Cecil say, indeed!)
Would someone let me know if they received one from me? I’d never mailed anything like that before, although I’ve received them, and wanted to make sure they made it through. (The post office guy didn’t bat an eye when I handed him one so he could tell me how much postage they needed.)
I love the SDMB Valentine’s Exchange! The Punkylet’s school had a Valentine’s Day party, and she was coming home every day, giving me excited updates on how many cards she was going to get, and what they were going to do, and then she’d look at my ever growing collection and start pouting. “It’s not FAIR, Mama! I don’t have any like that!” Susie Derkins, she loved the fact that you remembered her! It made her feel better about the whole thing, and then they were “our” valentines!
Freckafree, you’re a genius! I got mine, and I put a note on January in next year’s calendar to make some for my nieces. Gorgeous!
Thanks, everybody!
I got yours too, freckafreee. And I think someone upthread mentioned something about bottles too. Very clever. I’m still smiling at all of the cards and goodies.
