Sean Connery movie--Oscar winner

You could say he dies in Zardoz.

Isn’t it some sort of hybrid of an obscure local Scots accent with an obscure local Welsh accent?

“Ryan…be cah-ful what you zhoot at. Zome thinsh in her don’ht re-acht well to bull-itch.”

I’d forgotten how cheesy “Sword of the Valiant” is! Here’s the “talking head” scene:

I’m pretty sure he dies in the Ralph-Fiennes-And-Uma-Thurman Avengers.

He dies off screen in Finding Forrester

When Warner Bros. created the Bugs Bunny character, Mel Blanc asked what kind of personality he would have. They said “He’s a tough little stinker,” so Blanc combined the two toughest-sounding accents he could think of-- Brooklynese and The Bronx. How Blanc “mixed” those two accents I don’t know; same with Sean Connery “mixing” Scottish and Welsh accents.

Did Connery lose a bet to Richard Harris or something? Or was he drunk when he signed on (which would account for the accent)?
