seaoflove.com SUCKS

So I am attempting to find a girlfriend. Why because I want to find that “special” someone who I can … yada yada yada.

Now here is what seaoflove.com does, they send you a note via the personals account you are paying for from an attractive profile with a nice picture, and say they would like to correspond. Then you reply with yeah, so what movies do you like and they say …
“Hi. Thanks for the message. I’m writing this one time to tell you I don’t use this account anymore. But I always check my messages over at www.seaoflove.com. They just started and they’re offering free memberships. I’d love to chat with you there. It’s a really nice and unique place. Lots of cool art and animation and REALLY good features. Message me there.”

In short the jerks at seaoflove.com are tricking people into creating new accounts. Now I feel it is my responsibility to let everyone I can think of know about this. I just think they suck for pulling a con-job. (Oh yeah I let yahoo personals know).

And no I didn’t get suckered, and know I didn’t log into seaoflove.com, I just want to make sure others don’t either.

Geeze, what a bunch of wankers!

That’s a really shitty marketing tactic, and should probably be illegal. Forging mail from people surely isn’t on the level?

See I actually wrote back to the email address and let them know that I thought they should be ashamed of themselves. And bonus points for using the term “wankers”.

I was getting a bunch of messages on one personals service. The accounts they had showed an attractive woman, with a very minimal description. The ‘contact’ was invariably a very short message with no reply if I wrote back. I never figured out what the angle was.

I also got long winded messages from alleged Russian women who left an email. I could see the scam there easily enough.
