Title says it all.
Did a Mac OS update a few days ago. It seems that now I cannot search my emails. A massive pain the ass.
I’ve got 2 Gmail accounts and a work account that has zero to do with Gmail, Google, etc. So, it likely is not a mis-communication between Mac Mail and Gmail.
Has anyone else done the update to Mac OS-X 14.6.1 and experienced this?
I don’t know enough about my machine to know a work-around. But this is a real pain.
Thoughts?
Grateful in advance.
I’m on 14.6.1, and my searches are working just fine.
You can try re-indexing your entire machine (will take a few hours). Go to System Settings->Siri and Spotlight->Click on Spotlight Privacy. Then click the ‘+’ and drag your hard drive to the window, or choose the hard drive. Click Done.
Give it awhile. Test by searching for something in Finder. It shouldn’t find anything.
Then go back and remove the drive from the Privacy window and let it resume indexing.

If you are comfortable with the Terminal, you can do this:
sudo mdutil -E /
(where is the return key)
