You ddn’t ask for posts that were offensive (by YOUR definition of ‘offensive’). You asked for posts that showed he was a one trick pony. That’s what you got. The rest of your post, and any others that follow this other than an admission of being wrong, are tap dancing around the fact that your previous assertion, namely: ‘He is NOT a one trick pony!’ has been shown to be complete and utter bullshit. You were wrong. It’s okay. It’s not a crime. Everyone is wrong from time to time. Most people around here are pretty forgiving when a poster’s a big enough person to admit it. Not that I expect such largess from you.

If we can call people stubborn, why are you being to stubborn to understand the post where I said what I don’t get out of discussions with the professionals I know are the specifics of any particular case, nor do I get to meet the clients, al for ethical reasons of course.

It was the possibility of drawing a real live case into the holes in the discussions I have had previously, and to further discuss the results with the professionals I know that held the appeal for me.

But if that is a serious question, here is a serious answer: What I don’t think people understand is that Cesario is very likely mentally ill. It sounds like he has been diagnosed, or knows full well what the diagnosis would be if he were to be.

As such, we should give him some leeway in attributing motivations and world view to him that we would if he were not mentally ill. That doesn’t mean he gets to act on his fantasies or illness, and he seems to understand that much.

So to me, that creates a pocket for positive interaction - maybe we learn about what truly goes on in his mind by listening, observing, and correlating with the professional literature, and maybe he gathers enough strength to seek treatment without vilification.

Pretty much as I would hope we do with anyone reaching out with a mental illness, or even physical illness. I have seen threads where we have done that for people struggling with addiction issues, and I have seen threads where we failed to do that for people with suicide ideation and eating disorder issues. so it could go either way. And I am not claiming to have anywhere near a complete history of such threads, that is only what I have seen.

This is a very strange post. Aoparently you’re craving more details than your friends-who-are-mental-health-professionals can provide, but the specifics of other people’s mental illnesses aren’t fodder for you to study as some kind of hobby. If Cesario is mentally ill, as you assert, do you not see how it might be contraindicated for him to describe his illness in a public Q&A, in a forum where he has already worn out his welcome with respect to the issue?

In case you think I’m unsympathetic to mental health issues, you can check out the recent Pit thread (re: I saw a loser who made me so mad) where someone pitted a depressed guy who had been venting in MPSIMS. I was one of many people who went into that thread repeatedly to say that it was wrong to be pitting that guy, in part because depression is a life-threatening disease.

So I suppose there is a case to be made that if Cesario is mentally ill, it’s unfair to Pit him. But Cesario doesn’t think there is anything wrong with his thinking or feelings or world view, and unlike the depressed guy in MPSIMS, he shows no signs of having a potentially life-threatening depression problem. People here have already suggested to Cesario that there’s a problem with his thinking and he should get some professional help. Seriously, I don’t know what more we could do for him on this issue.
