Seattle Pub Trivia '08: With a Vengeance

I’m in.

Not tonight. I’m supposed to work until 11, but even if I don’t I feel the beginnings of a cold coming on and I need to rest. I’ll remind the BF that you guys are playing, but he might not go without me.

Next week!

I’ll be there.

I’m not gonna make it to the OP this week. We can discuss a Weds. or Thurs. quiz (Jillian’s pop culture) if people are interested, or I can just miss a week and y’all can have fun without me.

As long as we’re doing this early…I’m out this week too.

I’m available Mon-Tue-Wed.

Also, heads up for the group, my girlfriend will be in town the last weekend in September, staying thru Mon eve, to see my show. I asked her if she’d be interested in doing pub quiz on Mon night (9/29), say at Mulleady’s, so she can meet y’all. She sez sure. What say you?

We’re out as well - going to the Fair after the BF gets off work. I think we’re good for next week though.

So is tonight off?

I can go tonight, but not tomorrow.

Regardless of what happens this week, I’m all for Mulleady’s on the 29th!

I’m totally flexible for the week, so you people decide. I’ll be wherever.

Though I’ll ask someone for a ride if the spot’s too far out of my normal travels.

I seem to have a cold, so I suspect I’m out tomorrow night as well.

Mulleady’s on the 29th works, though.

I can do tonight, but not tomorrow night. Sounds like we’d have at least three people for the OP tonight if we wanted to make a go of it.

Looks like tonight at the OP. Agreed?

I’m in, but I’ll be there a little after 8.

I can do tonight (and I’ll be there early this time)… and I’ll definitely be there on the 29th.

I’ll be there, not sure when – before 8, though.

I should be there early enough to get a good table.

I forgot to say earlier, I think I’m okay with the 29th–I’ll certainly try to be.

Don’t know if anyone is still reading at this late hour, but I should be there by 6-ish.

How’d it go? Looks like a good quiz.

It was decent. The questions were pretty good, a mix of head-scratchers and moderate puzzlers. We wound up scoring, what, 60 or 61, and came in second.

(ETA: The only rough spot was the delivery. There were several hosts, all taking a turn with a round or two, and they were pretty inconsistent; some not loud enough, some not clear enough, some not fast enough, some too fast. The material was fine but the presentation was wonky.)

We were really happy with the team name, too: “We Can See Russia From Our Table.” Got one of the biggest laughs in the room.
