Since all the regular teams I’ve talked to are not planning on trivia next week, I think it should be canceled. I won’t officially call it until I talk to the bar tonight, though. (I may ask Aaron to do a show of hands at the beginning to represent the non-Facebook-using contingent.)
And on the infrequent occasions that I do need candles, there are less time-consuming ways to purchase them than parties.
I’m up for Monday, out for Thursday unless my hip doesn’t heal, in which case I’ll not be fencing. Being single with no kids, I could sequester myself and watch every episode of Seinfeld I could get my hands on over the course of the next week, but that also might cast me back in time to the 90s.
I could do Monday night, but not Wednesday unless it’s a kid-friendly place and trivia finishes by, say, 7pm, or unless it starts after 9pm, in which case it doesn’t have to be kid-friendly.
I can make it either night, but it kind of looks like the consensus is forming around tonight. Now we just need to decide where.
Personally, I’d like to stick to north Seattle–
Jabu’s looks okay, but $10 entry fee.
Nabob doesn’t (no cash, just money off the tab)
Lockspot seems interesting
Prost! is near my house, and has no team member-limit, but the format is unspecified
Finn McCool’s isn’t my taste (money off tab) and doesn’t start until 9
The Boxcar doesn’t have a page on Quiznight.net. I can’t find any other source that says they still do trivia.
Then there’s the places we’ve been before.
I vote for the Lockspot, I guess. Or Prost! Or Jabu’s.
On second thought, I’m out for tonight and for this week. We’ve got in-laws coming to town, and although they’re not staying with us (thank god!) we’ve got stuff to do to get ready.
Much as I’d like to try someplace new, it’s the usual next week for me.
I’m a solid maybe for tonight. I’m at work, but my wife’s at home with our daughter because school is closed for Veterans Day. If the day goes well, I’ll be at trivia. If not, I’ll be not at trivia. But I likely won’t know until this evening, so if I’m there, I’m there.
