Seattle Pub Trivia 2013: One Quiz Leads to Another

In!

Don’t take it hard. I did say ‘slightly.’ But–free pizza and typographic software is really compelling to me.

It’s Tuesday, and that means trivia.

The first audio hint is Orange Juice by Blue Boy; the second is Sweet Pear by Elvis Costello. I think the theme is pretty clear.

I will be there. Anyone else?

On a cool spring night, on a train bound for Portland,
I won’t have time for quiz night, even if I cannot sleep.

(Sorry. Next week!)

I’m in!

Sorry, I’m out. Planning to come next week.

Sorry for the extremely late reply, but I’m in- and I’m probably bringing a rhubarb pie.

Tonight is a Kalen & Ed quiz — they’re the ones who did the Bart the Bear movie round and another miserable quiz that I actually attended. So I won’t be going to this one.

But I’m open to another venue, as is Pete. Anyone? Suggestions?

I’m open to another venue too, but if none works out I’ll probably go to the OP anyway.

I’m in the mood for trivia. If no one has an idea for someplace we’ve never gone, I wouldn’t mind a return to Kate’s in Wallingford.

What’s the name of that place that was near where Stargazer lives, and is that a Tuesday night venue? Or George and the Dragon for the retro feel?

Hammered out with Pete: Paddy Coyne’s (Seattle). Quiz at 8, run by Geeks Who Drink. I’ve never done a GWD quiz, so this should be entertaining.

Cervaise is in.

Cool. I can walk there from work.

The Paddy Coyne’s site says it starts at 7 pm, while GWD says 8 pm. Someone should probably call to confirm.

Hey, so can I. Cool.

I just called Paddy Coyne’s. Trivia starts at 8:00. I’ve attended a Geeks Who Drink quiz before (at a different pub), but I’ll join you anyway.

I called, too. Maybe they’ll get the hint and update their site.

Why aren’t we members of Geeks Who Drink? We seem to have all the qualifications.

I’m in. New venue! Exciting.

I’m here, holding their largest table. It has space for 8-10 folks. Any idea how many might come with Pete?

Rampaging Fuckers of Everything are hosting, fucking everything.

Requested round is on Netflix. I am intrigued.

Audio round hint is “Twisted Nerve” by Bernard Herrmann.

I will be there, though not appreciably early —probably 7:30-7:40.

If I can get various errands done in time, I’ll be there. Call me maybe.

Cervaise is in.
