Tonight, a few people are headed to the Tippe & Drague in Beacon Hill, since for once I’d like a short post-quiz commute. (Just once!)

Tonight we attend the debut of a new quiz venue. The 418 Public House has welcomed the itinerant quiz hoists recently declared surplus to requirements by the pub we used to go to.
One of the best quizmeisters in the state is hosting us tonight, with his traditional New Year look back at the old one quiz. It will challenge us to remember 2013.
There are some clues about what to expect at the Quiz Night at 418 Public House Facebook page. I think there might be some internet fads mentioned.
Looks like, from the Facebook event invite, the usual gang will be there: Interrobang!?, Cervaise, stargazer, E. Thorp, and myself. Anyone else?
I realize that this thread is partly redundant, because of Facebook. But we keep posting each week because all Dopers are welcome on our team if they suddenly decide to join in. Just speak up, and we’ll see you there tonight.

A question: WHY were you 86ed? You all must have gotten WAAy more rowdy since last I played!
No, we weren’t disruptive. The crowds weren’t very big lately, and I assume that Geeks Who Drink convinced the OP that they could do a better job. They do seem to agressively market their quiz to anyplace that gives them a chance.
I was not in the communication chain, but my impression is that no specific reason was given.

I’m not 100% sure to be joining the Blue Ass Group tonight, but I’ll do my best to make it there.
Judging from the hints, I think the audio round will be to do with butts (wind…sun [don’t] shine…). And I cannot lie.
I’m probably out tonight - I’ve had some killer insomnia the last couple of nights, and I don’t think I’ll be able to stay upright past about 8:30. Have fun without me!
