In the new issue of Rolling Stone, under the “Hot Gay Superheroes” blurb, Gail Simone bragged about all the LBTG characters in her old title, Secret Six. She mentioned a “pansexual man and a bisexual man.”. The former, presumably, was Rag Doll. Who was the latter? The candidates are Bane, Catman and Deadshot and I missed the issue that might have answered this question. Obviously, Catman was the most sympathetic of the three, but where and when was this ever addressed?
It’s Catman. I don’t read the comic (or comics anymore in general, though I may one day restart for the umpteenth time), but I came across the information in a Newsrama article.
Catman. The series ended before Gail could get around to revealing it, and she mentioned it in an interview afterward.
She also said that, in her opinion, it’s still true post-relaunch…so, if she ever gets a chance to write him again, we’ll probably see it on the page. If she ever gets to write him again. (Only semi-related and a big spoiler for the end of the series: Also still canon, in her opinion: That Scandal Savage is in a committed polyamorous relationship with Knockout and Liana. This, she did manage to put on panel. Don’t think it’s a double standard - the closest we’ve come to seeing the Blake is bi is the ho-yay between him and Deadshot (who doesn’t, apparently, swing that way), whereas Scandal’s love triangle was actually a pretty major thing.)
