See that girl, watch that scene...

I have a confession to make.

(when you got no place to go, when you’re feelin down)

It’s a sickness.

(I feel like I win when I lose)

I tried to fight it.

(my my, how can I resist you?)

I’m a Abba-holic.

I love Abba. I admit it.

(knowing me, knowing you – aha)

Can’t get enough of em. I had Abba Gold in college and I listened to it non-stop. I lost it in a weird breakup-type-thing and I have been missing it ever since. Seven years with no Abba! How did I ever survive?

(sup-p-pa trou-p-pa)

This Christmas, Ardred and I got a Best Buy Gift Card. I treated myself to $9.99 worth of Swedish bubblegum pop fun.

(can you hear the guns, Fernando?)

We listened to it last night whilst preparing dinner and I couldn’t stop bouncing around. I know all the words.

(young and sweet only seventeen)

I KNOW ALL THE WORDS, PEOPLE.

Due to this unfortunate event I can’t update my journal. Therefore, this goes in to MPSIMS. I apologize.

I feel the same way about the Def Leppard greatest hits CD I got for Christmas. Now, my kids tell me to turn it down!

Must not listen to Abba… I will not listen to Abba…I REFUSE to listen to Abba

Aw shit. Earworm

I love ABBA. I’ll admit it. So there.

Mamma Mia is the ringtone on my cellphone. I, too, love ABBA.

Kids telling you to turn Def Leppard down? That’s just so… wrong.

::Runs to go pour sugar on something::

Ackkkk! Can’t… get… Dancing Queen… out of… my head!

My goddaughter’s a cute little thing named Teaghan (“TEE-gun”). She’s pretty shy and withdrawn, but sweet as can be.

One day, her mom came downstairs to find her wrapped in a feather boa, dancing around the living room, singing her heart out to a CD on the stereo:

“You can DANCE,
you can JI-IVE,
having the TIME of your life
See that GIRL
watch that SCENE,
TEAGHAN the dancing queen!”

I can’t hear it any other way now!

Man, I used to get some shit in college for being an Abba fan. This was in 1987, before anybody would admit to liking them. I didn’t care. The first album I ever bought was an Abba collection and I will own and listen to Abba songs until the day I die. So there.

“The Winner Takes It All” is my favourite, but I’m also particularly fond of “Knowing Me, Knowing You”, “Does Your Mother Know” and “The Name of the Game”.

Long time ABBA fan (since 1974). There is no shame. There is only jealousy.

I am not in this thread.

Speaking as a long time Radio Three listener, someone whose CD collection includes Gregorian Chant, Baroque, Classical and Romantic music, as well as modern composers such as John Tavener and Einojuhaani Rautavaara, I have to say …

… there’s nothing wrong with ABBA in my opinion. There’s a lot to like about ABBA.

“Thank you for the music”, indeed.

For your veiwing pleasure, a cover of the song “Dancing Queen” by the A-teens. (I linked to the Launch artist page, but the link to the video is out in front…)

Oh man…this is sad. :frowning:
Everyone of you …right now…Go to you local Best Buy and buy the following.
AC/DC- Highway to Hell
Black Sabbath - Live Evil
Judas Priest - British Steel
Iron Maiden - Powerslave

Listen to the Cds for 48 hrs straight.
That should wash all that ABBA stuff from you heads.
Good luck.

HA! Fool! NOTHING will get “King Kong Song” out of your head once it gets in!

I like Tiger and I Am The City.

I just love Agnetha Fältskog.

Only time I ever had a crush on a singer.

Besides Minmei.

I love me some ABBA! Every time I listed to Slipping Through My Fingers, I cry.

I need to get my turntable hooked up so I can play it…

Excuse my ignorance, but what is this ABBA that you all are speaking of? Is it someone that is played on the teen pop or rap stations? My step daughter tried to tell me I would like listening to someone named Toothpick Shaker (or something like that) but I didn’t. I do like the suggestions made by rolandgunslinger though. I just listen to Operation Mindcrime by Queensryche. Life is good.

I heart ABBA! Parents and sister do, too. You can not listen to ABBA Gold and be in a bad mood, just not possible. I sang “Dancing Queen” at karaoke on Thursday because a friend really wanted to hear it, so I had to oblige even though I have tonsillitis. Bonus, here’s me singing Fernando, you can even see the words on the monitor above my head.

Drums.

They were drums.
