See what was number 1 on the day you were born

If you’re worried about giving out your email address then just put in a fake one, that’s what I always do. I never give my email address out over the web unless I absolutely have to and then I just give out a junk hotmail address that I only check about once a month.

Avumede just do what all good people do and set the email to abuse@thisdayinmusic.com.

I know one thing about those of you who are dissin’ disco: Y’all never made it Flannigan’s back in '77! Disco was pretty cool.

Since I have danced (or chosen not to dance) to every song listed here so far, I see no reason to go to a site that’s questionable, and almost certainly won’t list for me, since I’m way older than Reality Chuck.

Rock on!

Barbra Steisand? Sheesh. I should’ve stayed in there another week. At least my wife got A Fifth of Beethoven.

Although the Brits had Devil Gate Drive by Suzi Quatro. Sounds sinister!

Oh, I think I misunderstood the site. i thought they mailed you the results always, which seems much more sinister to me.

the U.S. No.1 on the 25th August 1987 was… La Bamba by
Los Lobos

the U.K. No.1 on the 25th August 1987 was… I Can’t Stop Loving You by
Michael Jackson And Siedah Garrett

Mine is “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough” by Diana Ross. :dubious: (Cool, I found a use for the new smilie!)

It’s soooo not how I’ve lived my life thus far. It’s been more like “Falling Down the Mountain” by INXS. Oh well, maybe my next life…

UK: Is There Something I Should Know by Duran Duran

US: Billie Jean by Michael Jackson

Oh crud, they’re going to find out I’m not really old.

UK: Save Your Love by Renee and Renato [huh? Who dat?]
US: Maneater by Daryl Hall and John Oates

Hmmm… I know the last song but the first one is a bit perplexing.

You’ve Got a Friend by James Taylor - US
Get it On by T-Rex - UK
sigh gotta love the early 70’s…

On the US Charts: (They Long to Be) Close to You by The Carpenters

On the UK Charts (GET THIS!!!): The Wonder of You by… here it comes… Elvis Presley!!!

How weird is that?
