I relize that only 300(default) headers are downloaded each time I click in a ng, but I never thought much about this.
until…today:
I opened a group that I posted to last night. I had looked at the post about 1 or 2 hours ago, and no reply. When I just looked at it again just now, still no reply. I do not know exactly why, but I did a Tools~Get Next 300 headers. Well status bar told me that 300 more were downloaded. This seams like too many for just 1 or 2 hours, but maybe not. I saw that there was still no reply to my post, so I hit "Get Next 300 headers and 300 more downloaded and still no reply. Well, 300 more downloaded, I am thinking like No Way there have been 600. Then I thought that maybe the latest (most recent) are initially downloaded, so I get the 300 prevoius when I clicked Get Nextr 300 headers, so I did it again and I then saw two replies to my post.
So, how does one know if I reply to a post was received. Just opening the ng and looking might not do it.
Signed,
TTTTTTTotally confused (and thinking of all the replies that I may have missed)
