I’m talking about: You go to sleep, you wake up, you come on the SDMB for the first time in a day…what’s the first and second forums you visit (on here)?
For me it’s ATMB, followed by the Pit.
Great Debates, then usually IMHO. After that MPSIMS, then I flip through the others.
Whatever shows up on “New Posts” that interests me. I don’t visit forums as such.

When I’m on the desktop, it’s new posts. These days, I’m usually surfing the SDMB on Tapatalk on my phone, so I check participated topics, then new posts.
I usually check my subscribed posts under User CP. Then New Posts.

First thing I do is check my subscribed posts.
Other, I just tap on new posts. At the end of the night when I log, I mark everything read all so I can start more or less fresh every morning.
The order is usually CS, IMHO, MPSIMS, Pit, GQ, Games. GD gets hit when I get bored. I don’t subscribe to any threads, and “new posts” means nothing.
First is ATMB to see if anyone has been banned or someone has their panties in a twist over some mod action.
Then Cafe to see if anyone is talking about any tv shows I like and then I just randomely bounce around.

GQ then either IMHO or CS (I voted CS).
I don’t use new posts because there are a few forums I never or hardly ever visit.
I use the **New Posts **button, so I can’t vote in the poll.
Huh, I never knew that that button did that. I mean I knew on some level, but it never occured to me to click on it, or that a lot of people used it. In any event I usually start at GQ and work my way down the line (I prefer to do it forum by forum, so that the “mood” is consistent-I’d dislike jumping from a politics thread to a baseball thread back to a GQ as it would be a bit disconcerting. But to each his own.

New Posts is the only way I read the boards unless I am searching for something specific.
I generally use new posts, but before I discovered that, and even occasionally now, I will check out GQ then MPSIMS.
I go to the Pit first, but that’s really mostly out of habit; back when I first started posting, nearly 10 years ago, I posted mainly in the Pit. Nowadays, even though I mostly stay out of it (both because I’ve become less confrontational on the internet, and because the Pit isn’t nearly as much fun as it used to be), it’s still the first place I usually check. After that, it’s usually IMHO, though sometimes I’ll go to the Game Room first, if I’ve recently posted in the WoW thread.
