For me, it’s Thread Games so I can update my favorites.
None. I go to New Posts and read the first post of interest whatever the forum.
I usually always have a tab open on the SDMB. I just pick up reading on whichever forum I was last on. Then I rotate between General Questions, Cafe Society, IMHO and MPSIMS. I tend to stay out of the PIT and Great Debates.
After a search to find updates to threads in which I’ve participated, I go to About This Message Board. From there it’s IMHO, MPSIMS, The Pit and GQ.
I don’t check any forum first — I click “New Posts” — but if I could modify the behavior thereof I’d omit new posts from Thread Games and Game Room. But they’re easy enough to simply skip over.
In normal times it’s either **General Questions **or Café Society, or sometimes **Mundane…, **but for the past couple of months it’s been Elections.
Can’t wait for to get back to normal times.
Interesting question. I usually start at the bottom with The Pit, move up to MPSIMS where I check the MMP thread, and then on to IMHO and then Thread Games, where i have 4-5 threads I am supporting. May (or may not) then check Game Room but always go to Cafe Society and Elections. About 1-2 times a week I’ll look in on the top three boards.
This.
I start with User CP to check on threads I’ve participated in or am following, then New Posts.
Yup, that`s what I do, too.
I go to my contributions and see which ones have had no posts since the last time I was here.
I used to be a GQ and GD guy. I’d default to GQ unless I had a recent debate I was participating in, then I’d go check GD for updates.
But now I have Tapatalk, and I usually go to “participated” first, and see if there’s any new posts on threads I’ve posted in, and then “unread” to see what threads have recent posts across all the forums.
That.
SRIOD thread in the Pit. I need to be armed for the day’s discussions around town.
Subscriptions, then New Posts.
I also go to New Posts.
Same here, from Day One.
Cafe, although today it was Election, but that’s only because of the debate
Here. I’ve not ventured into the other areas.
GQ, then IMHO, then MPS… and, lately, elections.
