Selling an old car, experiences?

What, in very broad terms, could I expect to get for an old car that does run, but needs body, brake, and axle work? By “broad terms”, I mean could I expect to get anything at all, from anyone, for it? Say a few hundred dollars (US)? The car’s about 21 years old, but it did have a major engine overhaul about two years ago.

(Moderator: I apologize if this question is out of line; I’m doing my best to make it vague so that it won’t be construed as an advertisement. Also, because I don’t expect a definite factual answer I’ve posted it here rather than in GQ.)

I’ve sold some pretty old and beat up cars in the past for decent money, it just depends on the buyer.

I once sold an 80 something Toranado that had pretty major problems for $200.00. The guy who bought it just needed something to run around in temporarly until his real car was properly repaired and he was a mechanic, so the problems with the Toranado didn’t bother him.

I also sold a 70 something pick-up that had actually fallen off of the frame for $400.00. The buyer was a teenaged boy who wanted to fix it up for his first car. All I could say was “Good Luck”
