I’ve a collection of 200+ books that I need to get rid of by mid-June.
The collection includes fiction(classics,contemporary[notable or
otherwise]), non-fiction (technical textbooks, history overviews,
popular science…etc). A few books are in French
(Voltaire,Rosseau,Hugo…etc)
So far, I’ve located the following online venues for selling
1)Amazon Marketplace
2)Half.com
3)eBay.com
4)local books-forsale newsgroup
But, I need some other popular and preferably bibliophilic sites. Also,
I need to sell them for cash, not kind.
With that in mind, could anyone recommend some such good venues?
Thanks
Gyan
My wife sells books on ebay and half.com. She seems to think half is better due to lower fees and other expense. She also generates intrest on her website and discussion groups, but they are narrow in focus (all her titles are specific to the groups).
She gets cash (via paypay) or can specify money order/whatever she wants.
Good luck! You got a copy of “Scapegoats of the Empire” you wanna unload?
Fagjunk Theology: Not just for sodomite propagandists anymore.
I’m sure you could post a list on a little website or something and link the SDMB to it and get rid of quite a few.
If you need to get rid of them in the next month, ebay is the way to go. Other venues may get you more cash, but my take months (or longer) to sell a particuar book.
I’ve sold about 500 books on Amazon. One of my “get rich slow” schemes.
