Senate Dems To Disney CEO: Cancel 9/11 Docudrama (or else?)

Well, then, I expect to see a swarm of lawyers gathering to feed…

Incredible! What in the world motivated them to not change that? Its libel, slander and about six different kinds of malicious negligence! First they throw >$30 million to make it, piss away commercial income, and then send out engraved invitations to a legal feeding frenzy! Where the hell did they get their MBA’s? Bob Jones U.?

Yes. Now tell me which parts, please.

And no fair cheating – this is not an “open book” test. You can’t look it up, you simply have to view the film and determine, completely on your own with no outside assistance, which scenes were actually based on factual material and which were nothing more than Republican Fairy Tales. Oh, and which sources – the 9/11 Commission Report, the other published materials or the personal interviews that Disney used as to create this [del]fable[/del] Official True Story – were responsible for the factually incorrect information that found its way into the film.

Duck-and-cover only works in 50’s public service announcements. It ran for 2 hrs and 40 minutes with no commercials. There should be 54 minutes of commercials and there was only 20 minutes left. The inference to Lewinsky, Clinton refusing multiple opportunities to get Bin Laden, The FBI’s role… It was all there.

You’re not watching the movie that you’re debating?

I suspect that, like many Americans, Mr. Elucidator, has decided that the likelihood of his getting his head filled with lies and propaganda by this turkey is higher than the likelihood of him gaining any important new insights into the path leading to 9/11.
The president’s campaign speech tonight provides another disincentive to watching.

So you’re saying he’s either a psychic debater, or he has abdicated any debating thought process to someone else’s talking points. You might consider letting him answer for himself.

Nope I’m merely accusing him, and many other Americans, of having far more sense than God gave a doorknob.

HAHAHAHAHAH. NOPE - you’re saying he’s debating a movie he hasn’t watched. Thats funny. Sad, but funny. Good day.

Have you read the OP Magiver?

http://www.editorandpublisher.com/eandp/news/article_display.jsp?vnu_content_id=1003120633 Let’s hope that American Airlines sues their asses and the movie cost doubles or triples.

Yes, and I also WATCHED THE MOVIE.

What the heck do you think Dopers are good for if not to suffer on my behalf, boldly go where nobody in his right mind would go? Saw some of it. Saw the last part of the first night because I wanted to see if they would use the “Berger bit” to close, and if they went ahead as planned. (At least part of it is embarassment for Harvey Keitel, who I have thought interstellar cool since Mean Streets. Not as cool as De Niro, but, hey, ya know, fuhgeddaboutit! Seeing him doing this is like seeing Steve McQueen taking over for PeeWee Herman. Ewww!

Like the AA airlines stuff above. I can pretty much depend on the veracity of Shayna, Queen of the Jungle, at least until someone comes along and contradicts it, in which case the “cite!” gauntlet goes down, and the issue is usually resolved. Now, at this point, I’m pretty shocked and stunned by the stupidity on display from these people, what weren’t they smoking?

If all the information required is available from reliable sources, why subject myself to a dipping into a vat of whale dreck? You think there is some “authenticity” to the experience that is lost to me?

Watched GeeDubyas speech tonight, barely made it through that without doing the Australian Commode Yawn.

Elucidator, you’re…you’re alive.

Hey, I enjoy a rousing game of squink now and then.

Too bad you didn’t make it to the end. You’d have seen that Bush took a beating along with everyone else.

Unless ABC included the “gaping like a stunned badger while reading ‘The Pet Goat’” scene, I’m rather skeptical of this.

(Or how about Bush’s “Okay, you’ve covered your ass” PDB response? Was that in there?)
