I don’t live in Michigan and I don’t believe that I have magic powers to affect reality by wishing, so I am not “rooting for” anybody. If you are asking who I would vote for if I did live there, it’s tough. I can’t see myself voting for any Trump-affiliated candidate, but Sayed is really, really, awful and a 51-49 Senate where the America Deserved 9/11 wing of the Democratic Party is holding the balance of power hostage is not a good outcome by any means.
If the Democrats could fix their nomination process to stop rewarding extremists then this wouldn’t be an issue - not just for my hypothetical Michigan vote but for all the real Michiganders, Jewish and otherwise, who are being put in an impossible position by being offered two repulsive candidates.
That’s crazy. AES is awesome and is leading in polls and won the primary because he excited voters, unlike his boring, ordinary, establishment opponent Stevens.
Seems to me the primary worked as it should - it rewarded the candidate who ran a better campaign and excited more Democratic voters.

I’m starting to feel more comfortable about a possible Talarico win. There’s the news about various members of the Bush family supporting Talarico. Then there’s the fact that yesterday afternoon, a canvaser for Talarico knocked on my door to ask if I had voted, if so if I had voted for him, and if not, was I planning to vote for him. I told her I’d be voting for him tomorrow (today), which is what I’m planning on doing. The thing is, I live in a red area of Corpus Christi (Trump won my precinct 62 to 37% in 2024). Talarico must be pretty confident sending canvasers to this area.
Regardless of who it’s about I suspect it will be a nothing burger, because of one weasel word in that X post. He says he’s going to post a video “about” it this morning. To me that means it will be him, or maybe him and some other reporter, talking about this alleged video, but not posting the video itself. If that’s the case, nothing will come of it.

Roger Marshall and Adam Hamilton had another debate last night, this time inside a TV studio in Kansas City. Through my admittedly biased eyes, I thought Hamilton won the debate, as he took a decidedly moderate strategy regarding several questions.
Marshall tried to paint Hamilton as an Obama/Schumer/Biden Democrat, to which Hamilton responded by saying that he obviously has never created policy with anybody, and he would not support Schumer for Senate Majority Leader. Hamilton was very careful to say that he wasn’t running against Trump, but against Marshall. Although, when Marshall stated that Trump’s tariffs are working, Hamilton was quick to differ. And when Marshall blamed high diesel prices on the Russian/Ukraine war, Hamilton pointed out the obvious flaw in that reasoning, noting that Marshall is a supporter of the war with Iran.

And who is ‘Harry Sisson’ anyway? Is he well known in political circles or the X-osphere? I looked him up and apparently he’s a ‘24 year old social media influencer and political commentator’. No idea how legit or politically connected he actually may be, or if he’s just another source of internet blather.
