Trump has endorsed Graham, who is saying she will work for the people of her state. Will she abase herself in support for Trump? Probably, but there’s not as much certainty as with the others.

Yes. Lindsey Graham got only 57 percent in the June 9 GOP primary, which seems low to me for a Trump-endorsed candidate. I presume it was because a lot of Trumpers didn’t buy his conversion to Trumpism.
Darline Graham’s weakness as a candidate seems to me to be that Democrats will see her as a full-on Trumper it is important to vote against, while Republicans will wonder whether she’s a squish who they can stay home for. So if elections are about turnout, Annie Andrews has an excellent chance.
Now, I think elections are less about turnout, and more about appealing to the median voter. And I predict that anyone with the last name Graham will win. But Lindsey was only slightly ahead in polls, and there are good arguments either way.
Many, many people vote their emotions. A grieving sister bravely carrying the torch of her brother, stuck down in the flower of his youth (or the flower of his not-yet-decripitude) is heartwarming.

And there are worse reasons for deciding who to vote for (say, if you are voting for cruelty to migrants).
In the olden-times, I think the sympathy vote would have been a bigger factor.
All indications are South Carolina is still living in the olden-times. They only send the worst people to DC.
They could have been camped out in the same room, and it wouldn’t have mattered.

I can just hear the maggots gagging over Norman’s and Fry’s quotes. Graham’s sister does not deserve the seat and isn’t qualified for it, but those two could be even worse.
Y’know, we haven’t yet had a chance to see how she’ll vote. It’s just possible that she’s not actually all that bad (compared to the typical Republican).

I mean, she can’t be worse. I think that there’s a pretty good chance that someone chosen for reasons completely unrelated to her politics will probably be better, overall, than the typical Republican office-holder.
I do think it’s interesting that both people running against her are trying for “more MAGA than thou.” They sure see that side as her weakness.
It’s at least possible she doesn’t fight back on that front.
I expect Darline to have the same backers as Lindsey and thus will vote the same as Lindsey. If we’re lucky, she won’t be as effective as him.
Except her brother learned those backers weren’t as important to re-election as not offending Trump and risking a MAGA primary challenger. She already has two of those. If she can defeat them in the primary she may be emboldened to defy an increasingly unpopular Trump. That might require more spine than her brother could muster.
