In the wake of somehow managing to lose an election to a barely even trying Donald Fucking Trump, for the second time, the Democrats are doing the exact sort of brutally honest self-examination required: Finding out that Dave Barry is yet another member of the conspiracy to notice that Kamala can’t complete a sentence. There is definitely not a problem that needs to be addressed with a party structure that incentivized waiting until a senile man and a woman who can’t complete a sentence were their only legal options for nominees. The problem is just all those noticers. If we can somehow fire all the voters who commit the crime of noticing things, we’ll be in great shape to nominate Kamala, Hillary, and Allison Lundergan Grimes again in 2028. Maybe see if George McGovern and Walter Mondale’s corpses are available for VP, we need to get revenge on the last generation of noticers too.
