Senseless political commercials (local division)

Living in Denver, I have the great joy of being exposed to commercials for candidates for four different congressional districts. This evening, I saw what may have been the most purely senseless political commercial I’ve ever seen in my life. Seriously, no hyperbole.

Marilyn Musgrave, the incumbent Congresscritter in the 4[super]th[/super] District, ran an ad against her challenger Stan Matsunaka attacking his personal faults and positions. So okay, nothing odd here, right?

What did Howard Dean say when Stan Matsunaka blah blah blah?
The Scream
What did Howard Dean say when Stan Matsunaka this blah blah?
The Scream
What did Howard Dean say when Stan Matsunaka that blah blah?
The Scream

What person could possibly believe Howard Dean has anything to do with a race in Colorado? What person could have seen this as having a connection with reality? What total doofus thought that people are going to believe Howard Dean is screaming about everything Matsunaka does or doesn’t do? What person whose two brain cells haven’t been introduced yet could possibly think that Howard Dean has anything to do with Matsunaka? What person, you ask?

“I’m Marilyn Musgrave, and I approve this ad.”

I swear, if it wasn’t to late, I’d move back to Fort Collins just to vote against this slimy bottom-dweller.

Howard Dean approves the Straight Dope Message Board.
