*Dracula’s Daughter *(1936) begins moments after the ending of *Dracula *(1931).
Waxworks 2- Trapped In Time
Starts off with a disembodied evil hand escaping the destruction from the first film.
Evil Dead 2 itself did this, sort of, though recapping the first movie through reinactments instead because they didn’t have rights to the actual footage.
But even Back To The Future 2 used a reinactment (to replace whoever it was in the original with Elizabeth Shue), so if that counts…
Doesn’t The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet’s Nest pick up right where The Girl Who Played with Fire left off? This is in the Swedish films though I would bet the new ones will do the same.
Maybe you could argue the first and second of the Swedish films qualify depending how strict you want to be. I think there is a time lapse but it is a similar lapse or scene cut that could occur if it was one movie instead of the divider between two movies. I honestly don’t remember where each ends and another begins since I watched them (and read the books) pretty close together.
