I grabbed this screenshot from cnn.com a few years ago. Taken in perspective, I just can’t get worked up about the one headline about K-Mart.

I was reading STLtoday.com (the website for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch) a week or so ago, and their two main stories, along with about eight of their nine story links in the “top stories” section were about violent death. Definitely caught my eye.

I dunno, drewbert, maybe if K-Mart revived the Blue Light Special the world would be a better place.

And wouldn’t that story about the man being declared dead be a GOOD thing, since he wasn’t really dead (unless they killed him thinking he was dead)?

True enough, but I’m sure he would have rather avoided the mix up in the first place. And there’s the little matter of injuries severe enough that a doctor thought he was dead.
