I just read, IMDb via a Salon article, that Jim Carrey(!) is announced as Count Olaf(!) in the Series of Unfortunate Events movie. Now I realize it’s a way off, but let me say right now…God, what awful casting.

Because Olaf needs to be menacing. Even in Cable Guy, Jim Carrey was not menacing.
