I can only find the other, more accurate (and less funny) English dub made for Singapore there.

One of the freebie services, Roku has it and with almost no commercials.

I know Roku is a free app on Firestick & Roku and I believe on PC. Probably almost everywhere. It is a commercial streamer rather than pay.

This is a version with both English audio tracks. It plays the parody dub by default in streaming for me.

(I had forgotten, but I have my own version, available nowhere, where I combined elements from two different releases and have a version with both English tracks plus the original Japanese plus soft subs for both English audio versions.)

We also binged it last night. I guess it says something about our cynical age that I thought it much more likely that it was a Gone Girl-type hoax, rather than an actual stranger abduction.

I lived in the Bay Area at that time, and recognized all those newspeople shown, and remember nothing about this case. Weird.

We started the first season of True Detective last night. We’ve only watched E1 and we’re hooked! What kind of magic did they do to make Matthew McConaughey look so young? I realize it came out 10 years ago, but he really looks young.

Has Masters of the Air gotten any better, gang?

Poker Face (2023, 1se, Peacock) Natasha Lyonne can always tell when someone is lying but now she’s in trouble. Still, she’s a good person and helps were she can while on the run. Essentially Lie to Me mixed with Russian Doll and a dash Highway to Heaven is what you’re getting with a few Orange is the New Black cameos.

It’s watchable. 3 episodes in and my wife and I are going strong. Natasha can only play herself but here it works…for now.

I quit after the first episode. I dunno, just didn’t hit right for me.

Monsieur Spade ended last night, and even though it was very complicated and it took an effort to keep all the characters straight at first, I ended up really liking it. I hope they do a second season. Teresa and Sam make a great pair.

I’m only blurring because I’m not sure if this is a spoiler or not. I saw Alfre Woodard in the opening credits, but forgot about her until the final scenes. I loved her whole bit. That was some complicated dialog and made LOL more than once, but she was fire.

I’ll miss them as well. Watching this latest installment, it seemed like Hammond and May were keeping on pretty well, but I kept thinking that Clarkson seems too old to keep this up. I doubt he could manage the more strenuous tours they’ve done in the past.

I finished watching this show. It was kind of silly from the start, but it got truly ridiculous in the end in terms of mustache-twirling bad guys and soap opera nonsense.

I’ve been slowly slogging through Mr & Mrs Smith. It’s just too over the top absurd for me. I’d like the general concept, I guess, if it wasn’t taken to such an extreme.

In my experience that’s every Korean drama in the genre. I started out by watching “Oh My Ghost” which had the silliest premise. The ghost of a virgin woman believes she can’t pass on until she gets laid…she she has to find a suitable host to possess and then get some to have sex with her…by the end there’s kidnappings and murders.

Watched the first episode of The Second Best Hospital in the Galaxy. It… isn’t great. One episode isn’t enough to decide if it is meh or bad. Probably meh.

I was just reading an article about the remake of Shogun, starting sometime soon on Hulu. The newer version looks to be more Japan-centric than the original, which focused on the stranger in a strange land aspect.

And virtually all in Japanese, with subtitles. Interesting choice.

So this either got better or it grew on me. Still no Sector General, though.

I’ve been watching Marriage on PBS (It was on quite a while ago - I have it on my DVR.). It’s at times very uncomfortable to watch. It’s almost like you’re secretly watching a real couple go through their days. I have one episode left.

In my opinion, yes it has. I think of the three - BofB, Pacific, and MofA it will remain the lesser of the three but starting about episode 4 I felt it really came into it’s own and has become far more compelling.

Fun animated show. I watched all of it in a month so my daughter and I can go see the movie tonight, which we are doing in about an hour or so. It’s a very famous anime right now and I can agree with the majority on this one; it’s really good.
