And presumably everything invented after that was first invented by Nikola Tesla.

It’s on Acorn.

Actually, like pretty much every famous person of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, Nikola Tesla appeared on Murdoch Mysteries.

i was wondering about evensong. thank you for the info. i did like art detectives.

i just started silent witness. i got to the series where she took the professor job in london.

Yep. The reasonable attractive woman, went overboard and it got very cringy.

The cats were kinda cute and we liked .Leslie Jordan in his role. Otherwise, the show sucked.

Yes, NZ and I love that show,

Continuing The Pitt, it’s fantastic. Both the writing and acting are exceptional. The format is kind of 24 meets ER (neither of which I ever saw, so YMMV.) Every episode is one hour of the same day. It’s incredibly fast-paced and chaotic and yet somehow totally coherent. It’s also relevant. There are a lot of issues that I think could really make a difference in people’s lives and can reach them in a way that traditional dialogue, or lecturing, can’t. That is the power of storytelling.

The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones (Prime) Have to buy the episodes at $2 a pop, but they are each an hour and a half so I can justify it. We are 5 episodes in and my historically curious tween son loves them. From the early 90’s so the special effects were on a budget and look so, but in all they still hold up and are the closest thing we have to a modern watchable Rin Tin Tin or Johnny Quest. My father had The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle, I had Duck Tales, my son has this. We will absolutely finish this 17 episode series.

I loved the Young Indiana Jones series. Some impactful depictions of the horror of WWI.

Note that the second season of The Pitt will be available starting from early January, so you won’t have to wait long. I read someplace that they want to have seasons available each year, much like a broadcast network show of previous years was.

I’m watching Servant on Apple+. A Midnight Shamble-on production about a nanny who is. . .something or another. Five episodes in and I still don’t know where this thing is going. Stars Lauren Ambrose (of Six Feet Under).

Netflix is telling me The Diplomat new season is available.

Fun fact. The software Adobe After Effects (alongside Photoshop) was developed for this show.

My wife gave me a heads up last night that the new season was out. We’ll probably start watching it this weekend.

i really loved that series. so very good.

Amazing Race continues to be a snooze-fest, with lost of fake tears and emotion. The out front Fabulous Furry Sikh brothers caught a bad break as they couldn’t get a Budapest taxi driver to pick them up.

Yes, it was great!

Vudu/Fandango shows 21 episodes (currently on sale for $40).

The Diplomat Season 3

Brilliant writing

Nero: The Assasin

A lightweight period adventure with some good humor despite the apocalyptic religious mumbo jumbo (Papal intrigue and witches). The lead is a pretty despicable rogue who is surprisingly likable for no reason I can pin down. It’s a French production appearing here on Netflix. I’m not sure if it has dropped yet in the US.

Boston Blue on CBS

I enjoyed the premiere. It’s wonderful seeing Donnie Wahlberg as Danny Reagan again. The plot device that brings him to Boston is well thought out.

They’ve updated the police station with new tech crime fighting tools. The sets are better lit and more modern. I guess that will attract a younger audience.

I’m hopeful the new show will be popular.
