Serious blisters and lidocaine.

Does 2% Lidocaine work well to relieve the pain for really bad blisters on the bottom of the feet? Is there anything specific to that area and type of skin that would rule out the use of lidocaine locally? I’m not talking about any general concern like drug interactions, overdose or sensitivity or something.
If you had some very painful bleeding blisters on the bottom of the feet or heel or ankle, and you absolutely had to keep walking, would there be a consequence or risk to the local tissue if you injected lidocaine?

I have lidocaine patches for my back pain. The literature which came with them specifically says not to apply the patch to broken skin.

I’d say you’d be better off putting something like Ambesol on it.
