I had an appointment for a dermatologist this afternoon to have a bump on the top of my head inspected. It’s been there for years, and I had a previous doctor check it out. Just a cyst (which is true) was all. But I didn’t like it there and I was hoping to get it removed over Christmas Break.
So she came into the “cubicle room” and checked it out, said I could come back tomorrow and have it removed. I said I can’t b/c of a dentist appointment. Then she offered to do it today and of course I couldn’t say no (why hold off ya know?).
She numbed me up with 3 needles of something (not novocaine) and trimmed my hair a little bit and made about a 1 inch incision. She took hold of it with hemastats (sp?) and wrestled with this pylar cyst for about 5 minutes and used knives and scissors to get it off!! She showed me my 2nd head and i swear it looked like a mutated abortion or something–it was disgusting but cool. Then she cleaned up some blood and fluid, which i heard mooshing around and squirting sounds (like walking in mud) and proceeded to STAPLE my scalp back together.
Of course I was numbed up this whole time and couldn’t feel anything. But now. . . . .OMFG!!! If I were a wussy girl I’d be crying, but I’m a tough dude and I can take this pain. The only thing I’ve ever been able to compare this to is getting my wisdom teeth removed. I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep tonight.
Dude, you’re not supposed to chew 'em. Just swallow them and drift off into that good place. If you’re taking prescription painkillers, they’ll probably help a lot!
Maybe your 'cyst" was an undeveloped conjoined twin, that’s been festering in your head for years, & will now rise from the grave to wreak its unnatural vengence.
I wish I had a pic of my baby boy. I did however had my sister take a pic of my head stapled up. She was horrified just looking at it. It looks bad ass, but hurts like a fothermucker. Lemme know if you want to see the pic.
I’ve had both staples and stitches, and I have to say that I prefer staples. When the time comes for them to come out, staples are much kinder to your body than stitches.
I’m EXTREMELY disappointed that you didn’t get picks of your baby.
