Why can’t it be finding babies for people who have love to give and homes for children who need that love? When you love a child it IS yours and there is nothing narcissistic about it. When you have raised a child, bottle fed them in the bleary eyed wee hours, seen them take thier first steps, read to them, taught them, taken them fishing, shared the joy of Christmas morn, taken them to the zoo, seen the wonder in thier eyes over the bounty of the world, flinched in the passenger seat as they learned to drive, sent them off on thier first date, watched them graduate, had to let them go out on thier own as you worried and hoped they would call, felt the joy of thier finding one worthy of love enough to marry, teared up when you see the love they have for thier own children, then what in hell is deluded about not giving a damn if they are biological offspring? They are yours and you are thiers in all the ways that count.

You don’t like fortune-telling. So what? I don’t like the fact that churches don’t pay taxes on their tithes and offerings and they rake in a million times more money than all the fortune-tellers on earth. No one compels my clients to see me. I give them good advice which most of them quite frankly need. Whether that advice comes completely from my mind or something else who knows? If higher powers exist would they bother telling us? We have no way of determining this, which is exactly what I tell my clients.

Where that the case I would not find the practice so objectionable. My experience has almost uniformily been jerks acting like spoiled toddlers because they don’t get to touch a woman which leads me to think there is a lot more to the behavior than an attempt at greeting.
