Seth MacFarlane is hosting a week of his favorite Family Guy eps next week on Adult Swim on Cartoon Network. I saw the promos starting today, featuring Seth.
The voice does not look like it belongs to that body. Before I checked IMDB I thought the promo was some bizarre dubbing thing done as a joke. He looks like he’s about four and a half feet tall. And his eyebrows seriously weird me out.
I wonder if he’s there to announce something. I notice mention of a Family Guy movie on the IMDB and I’ve heard rumors of new Family Guy episodes. Anyone have any new info about that?
He’s there because they’re doing a best-of Family Guy thing with him giving comments (and maybe picking the eps? I don’t know). Family Guy will be back on the air in about a year, do a search and you’ll find out plenty about that.
Oh. I meant to add that he makes you wonder about fairness in the universe. “He’s young, rich and funny, and he gets THAT speaking voice? Are you kidding?” And then you look at him and wonder if it evens out.
On the DVD commentaries his voice sounds pretty consistently like Brian. Not exactly, but much closer than Peter or Stewie. Kinda like how you could hear snatches of Kermit whenever Jim Henson spoke.
I didn’t even realize there was going to be a movie. Based on this part of the plot outline, …in which the young domination-bent baby, Stewie, discovers he is a homosexual. I can’t wait.
Oh well, as long as we get some fresh Family Guy in whatever form it takes, I’ll be happy. But that Stewie storyline would be hilarious. Maybe they’ll at least hint at it in the new eps.
Can you imagine hanging out with this guy? I’d be reduced to a cackling lunatic every time he broke out his Stewie voice. “Good news, Dooku! I’ve decided not to KILL you!” Or his Quagmire voice. “Awwwwriiiight. Giggity-giggity!!”
He’s so cute. He has such a boyish face, I tripped out hearing that voice and seeing him. I couldn’t quite figure out whose voices he was from that promo, though.
