SETI@Home in Red Hat

I am a newbie regarding Red Hat (7.3 distro). I want to be able to run SETI@home, but I’m very shady on installing programs onto a linux system. I tried a while ago installing video drivers for my GF3, and i ruined X and had to reinstall. So how should I install it and get it use the same account info as Windows98?

Here is a readme from SETI@HOME:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/README.unix.txt

On this page:

they have several command driven versions that will work. The first time you run the program, it will interactively ask you for your email address. Enter the same one you use on your Windows 98 system (the one you registered with them) and it will log your results to the same account (I have SETI running on about 60 machines at the moment using 7 different operating systems but they all log to the same account)

Hope that helps …

I now know that I can keep the same account using my login and keep all the units up to date. But I don’t know what I’m supposed to download. A lot of the readme is just jargon to me–like I said, i’m a newbie. I’ll have more time tonight to post, but I’m running a little late for a dinner date ATM.
