"Sex" movies (about courtship) from the '50s and '60s...

I like the old movies from about 1955 to about 1965 where all the publicity touts it as a “movie about sex”, but it’s really a movie about courtship.*

Examples:Anything with Doris Day and Rock Hudson. (Actually, anything with Doris Day and anybody else after she made “Pillow Talk”.)

Come September with Rock Hudson.

Down With Love (Yeah, I know it wasn’t made back then, but it’s a good representation of the type, even if it is a recent film)(I know that’s a short list, but I’m trying to lengthen mine.)

What other movies fit this type? Recommend some other movies of this rather narrow genre (I have all the DD/RH movies and That Touch of Mink on DVD). What movies did I miss that you think were pretty entertaining examples of this type?

*That’s not the only type of movie I like, but I kind of like to rotate my favorites so I won’t get bored with them.

Whoops! I meant to post this in Cafe Society.

Would an accomodating moderator please correct this oversight?

Thank you.

Not moved yet so will answer here.

An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr, and the original Sabrina just to name a couple.
For a bit of light hearted fluff there were the Tammy and Giget movies.

Moving thread to Cafe Society, and throwing in a title repair at no extra charge.

Breakfast at Tiffanys. (Holly was a HOOKER!!! Of course the most explicit mention was, IIRC, the whole, “fifty dollars for the powder room” line)

Thanks! (What repairs did the title require, may I ask?)

“courship” to “courtship”

“Jupiter’s Darling” was basically a romance between Howard Keel and Esther Williams. It was set in Roman times, but had a 50s sensibility to it.
