First off, first post, hehe followed the rules of most other message boards ive been on and attempted to search… but it seemed to not work… waited awhile then it said it couldnt find the site, tried twice, didnt work… >.< anyway on to the question!
I once was told having sex in the tub, or while skinny diping, was dangerous and unhealthy for the woman due to too much water being pushed in, and generally doing ungood things, anyone able to give it an offical yea or nay? Thanks in advance =)
SDMB won’t search for words of less than four letters, so people searching on sex topics are out of luck. As for the question, I guess it depends. I’d say that sex while skinny dipping in lake water is asking for trouble, but a tub is somewhat less so. The main danger would be of getting a urinary tract infection (UTI), and urinating after sex is said to go a long way toward preventing that.
Actually this was her idea, not mine, but having heard what I have, I wanted to check it out to be safe, this was the best place I could think of to ask =)
I’ve had sex in the ocean. It worked fine, but then uncircumcised guys don’t need as much lubrication as the lopped (unless we’re using a condom, of course, which these days we ought to be, outside of a committed and blood-tested monogamous relationship). Neither girlfriend had any problems, but that’s only a series of two, and not statistically significant.
Seawater in the natural vaginal lubricant is not nearly as much of a problem as sand.
There a porn genre featuring sex under water. They wear scuba gear and do it on the sandy bottom of the ocean and other places. Probably about 20 feet down. I don’t know how much each individual actor and actress participate in such shenanigans but they do it and apparantly aren’t complaining about it.
My partner would need some sort of nasal snorkle, since his mouth would be busy. And then there’s the buoyancy problem - he’d need weights on his knees (he has no problem staying on his knees for long periods of time on dry land).
My then husband asked about this on the one and only prenatal doctor visit he joined me for. The doctor answered that under water didn’t pose any inherent danger but that ladies should keep their private parts away from any jacuzzi type jets.
Despite my ex’s obvious interest we never tried it so I have nothing to add.
