I will join you in tackiness, so you won’t be alone - I kind of like my combination, though I don’t really think that much of myself. Which is why I need the boost!
Dark red hair with gray eyes.
However, most colour combinations go over well with me. Big brown eyes with any shade of brown are beautiful. Green eyes are so lovely to me because I so rarely see them, except for my mother (who has the green eyes/red hair combination). Hazel eyes are so nice because they are often so interesting to look at. Blue eyes are kind of a classic - they look good on anybody. I grew up around many people with the icy blue eyes, so I don’t find it exotic. I do think they are very nice, though. Two men in particular with the icy blue eyes stand out to me: one had curly jet black hair, and one had a dark blonde hair. I think of the two I liked the darker haired one better, but the other fellow certainly wasn’t hard on my own eyes!
My ex-fiance had, what I used to call when I was in love with him, tiger eyes. They looked in the light much the way the tiger eye gem looks. However, now that we’re broken up, I usually refer to them as limpid pools of piss. (I’ve known several people with this odd but beuatiful eye colour, but I’ll continue to refer to their eyes as tiger eyes unless they act maliciously toward me, as well!)
Hmm… waits to see if anyone says black/pink/blue hair and blue eyes
In the meantime, while I prefer long dark hair on guys, I don’t usually have an eye colour preference. But right now, I’d say long, dark (but rich) brown hair with chestnut brown eyes. I am, of course, describing my boyfriend who happens to be gorgeous.
My eyes are green all the time. They used to be hazely gray, but they’ve turned permanently green. They’re not piercingly green like pinkfreud’s, but more of a forest green. Unfortunately, my hair isn’t red, but dark brown with some reddish highlights. My little brother, however, has bright green eyes and thick black hair, the lucky little monkey. He got all the eyelashes and height I was supposed to have, too.
What do I prefer on a guy? Dark hair and . . . well, if he has eyes, it’s a plus. Heh. Bright blue or gray eyes. shiver
I don’t how rare green eyes are exactly… but I kept thinking I read something about green eyes being the result of some kind of fat pigment… and that I’d read it from a reliable source. So I Googled and - aha!
Not that it has anything to do with anything, I was just pleased I finally figured out who my “reliable source” was.
After a little minor Googling, I found a Wikipedia article about eye colour . I don’t know how reliable it is, but I found it surprising that blue is supposed to be a rare colour. I suppose living in North America leaves me a little biased.

Although I’m boringly heterosexual, I find Aishwarya Rai to be one of the most stunning humans I’ve ever seen. And so I would say, from a purely aesthetic point of view, the raven tresses/greeny-grey eye combination is my favourite.
When it comes to what I find intriguing in a man…warm hazel eyes and dark hair, or deep dark eyes and dark hair. My own hair/eye colour combo is black/dark brown…I read a study somewhere that found that couples are more likely to have similar eye-colours than two random strangers are (New Scientist maybe? If anyone wants to check it out).
Funny isn’t it that most people think of the Irish as red-haired, green eyed people, when actually dark hair and blue eyes (think Pierce Brosnan, Cillian Murphy) is by far the most common colouring.
Yeah, for the longest time I thought blue was the most common color, because where I grew up, it was, cause my town was 99% white, and of those, at least half, if not most, were blue eyed. But when you think about it, almost every person of Asian or African decent has brown eyes. That’s probably close to three billion people.
I’m a white guy and I have what I think you’d call hazel eyes. That is, the outer ring of my iris is a blue-green and the inner ring of my iris is a kind of red-brown.
I didn’t realize green was a common color of african-americans.
My mother, one of my sisters and all six of my mother’s siblings (I believe) have similarly colored eyes.
Oh, and I have dark-brown hair.
As for my preferences, I’m not sure, I like all kinds.
