Sexual predators/Rumsfeld/voting for Kerry

Now that Runsfeld has admitted that there are other video tapes that show American GI’s raping an Iraqi woman and sodomizing young Iraqi boys, I’m wondering if these people have been returned to their bases, since this happened over six months ago, and are free to commit sexual crimes here in the U.S. These sexual predators had probably already started on a career leading to prison for sexual crimes when they were sent right into the perfect situation where they could play out their perversions with the apparent approval of their command.

The people that can be eventually identified on those tapes and their command chain will be tried and punished (I hope to God); so why should Rumsfeld be exempt? And I mean other than the fact that he is protected by his high position. He should not only be removed he should be put on trial. We have always insisted on that in other countries. It’s GREAT that he accepts responsibility for the crimes. Unfortunately it seems he doesn’t accept charges against him and the consequences.

This whole thing makes me sick, and so horrified that our troops are now in more danger due to the reprecussions from the actions of those sexual deviates. when I read that in Bosnia Men were made to have sexual intercourse with their own daughters for entertainment of the soldiers little did I realize that an American GI would do things just as bad and then say they weren’t given training in how to handle prisoners. How about just plain human decency? Apparently these people need training in that.

It seems Bush was clueless, clueless, clueless as usual. There have always been rumors he isn’t making the decisions, and now we know for sure. Rumsfeld apparently made the decision not to tell him. He felt somehow it was okay to do that. That is probably bottom line the most frightening part.

I may not like Kerry that much, but I say an interview with his wife tonight and I’ll vote for him based on her character. She is used to playing with the big boys and I don’t think she would be intimidated like Barbara Bush, who after she called her husband a “cowboy” was told to never do that again.

I’ll just clarify a few muddy points here, if you don’t mind. From this MSNBC story:

Otherwise, please continue. It does not change your point much, but let’s lay out the facts as they are understood today.

I think it’s also safe to assume that all personnel, US & Iraqui, who can be ID’d as for sexual crimes on the photos & tapes are, if not yet locked up, under investigation & strict watch- not released to continue their crimes. Though the abuses happened six months ago, the investigation did not just start this past week- it’s been ongoing for about five months. It’s just recently that the media has gotten hold of the materials.

I think that term “cowboy” has only been used as an invective lately. You do realize that in Bush I’s term in office the word might be thought of differently, of course.
