OK everyone, I’m putting in our order today, probably around 4 pm PST. That gives you about 11 more hours to fill out the afforementioned poll. If you don’t care what you eat I guess it doesn’t matter. Pretty much everything I’ve had there is great.

I’m still a maybe, sadly. The Magic: The Gathering world championships happen to be taking place in SF that weekend, and I’ll probably be there playing in side events. Hopefully the scheduling will work out so that I can make it.
FTR, I like simple things like spaghetti and pizza, but the poll didn’t work for me, either.
My first choice will be Chicken Parmigiana, second choice will be Balls <i>dans la</i> Nose.

Um, excuse me. I thought it was made clear that all the Balls dans la Nose were reserved exclusively for me, bitch! We’ll try to spread it around if there’s any left over, but I’ll remind you that I was promised no less than five at one time.

Hello, I couldn’t make the poll work either. My first choice would be cannelloni, second choice tortelloni. but it all looks good so I’m sure I’ll be happy no matter what! I’d also like to have some salad - either green or caesar.
I can’t get the Poll to work, but since I would happily eat everything on that menu I don’t mind what you order.

Of course not. After Demo and I spoke to the hostess at Buca, and to each other, and recalled past experiences, we just thought it’d be easier and time (and hopefully money) saving to pre-order the most popular dishes, since Buca is a ‘family’ style restaurant.
We can absolutely order any dishes once we get there and folks decide they’d rather eat something not on the table or pre-ordered.
I didn’t want to go this route initially, but after thinking about it, it does make sense.
I’m really looking forward to meeting folks.
No plans for Friday yet, but Demo and I will be in the city, so if anyone has suggestions, we’re all ears.

I’m easily confused.
OK everyone, our order for next week is in. Here’s what we’ll be having:
GARLIC BREAD
BRUSCHETTA
MIXED GREEN SALAD
RAVIOLI WITH MEAT SAUCE
VEAL PARMIGIANA
MANICOTTI
CHICKEN PARMIGIANA
GARLIC MASHED POTATOES
GREEN BEANS
Again, we can add to that if you don’t care for anything there when we get to the restaurant. With the menu as it is, including tax and tip, the total comes out to about $17/person. This doesn’t include drinks, by the way. The hostess at Bucca said that we can order together or at the bar, but could not do seperate tabs. psycat and I thought it might be good to maybe order soft drinks, etc at the table and have people get their own alcoholic drinks at the bar. We’ve done that at Bucca before and it worked well.

Sweet! All set! Reservation has been made for Buca – 6 PM, this Saturday. It’s under Cecil Adams as well as my name (Shannon.)
Still no plans for the rest of the weekend, we like to play it by ear for the most part anyway. See y’all then!
Ack! I was at the East of Eden conference in Salinas this weekend. Anyhow, Veal Parm was my first choice anyhow. I’ll be there. (I left a response, which you can ignore, on the Live Journal site.)
