Sh*t My Kids Ruined: the book - which I'm in!

Well, my wall is in it - see here, for wall, book, and perpetrator.

Anyway, the book came out this week. If you haven’t checked out the website, it is really good for a laugh (and sometimes a gag).

Where the perps eyes are looking in the picture says it all.

Until I had kids I didn’t know that toothpaste is an effective paint remover. On the other hand, until I had kids, I didn’t have toothpaste on my walls.

It was around this time, two years ago, when my wife called me and said, “Um…there’s a pinwheel cookie in the VCR.”

I just looked through that book today at Borders!

I’m in it too! Well, my back is. Boy 1.0 shattered a disc during childbirth and I had two back surgeries after. Julie put a copy of my MRI in the book, heh.

Oooh, it’s out?? I didn’t even realize it–I knew it was soon. Toooootally picking that up ASAP.

That is too cool, Ruffian! I’ll have to look you up, but I can’t find my book now - I have a feeling the munchkins got a hold of it.

SMKR has actually improved my life considerably. Now when something atrocious happens, I at least see one good thing about it - “Ooh, this’ll be a great submission to SMKR!”

(I particularly had fun when the girls were playing upstairs, and I found the 2yo covered with marker. Chloe, 7yo, told me “Claire colored herself,” but then I noticed marker all over Claire’s back. *Then *I noticed “I love you” written on her foot. BUSTED, Chloe! My first action was to take lots of pictures.)

And yes, as my mom said, Claire has the devil in her eyes in that picture, which is entirely accurate.

ETA: To be clear, it’s not cool that your kid shattered your vertebra. That’s actually really horrifying. Yikes!

Just briefly looking at the website, I can totally understand the Nutella Incident. When I discovered it a few weeks ago, I also wanted to try to climb into the jar.
