Shame on you Eddie Murphy!!!!

Yep. That was the first thing I thought of when I saw the trailer for ‘Haunted Mansion’ (at ‘Brother Bear’, oddly enough).

‘Aw, look at the beautiful house. The place is well kept, the kids are playing on the lawn, the garden’s pretty…’

Scary Voice: “GET OUT!!!”

‘Too bad we can’t be staying!’

I saw him do it on Saturday Night Live once.

I’m so glad SOMEONE remembered the “Get out!” skit! I knew I he had done that, and it was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the trailer for this film. I couldn’t remember where I’d seen it, and almost thought I’d imagined it.

Aww, and I was going to take my kids to it tomorrow. They don’t care much about plot (the oldest is almost 10). Did your kids like it?

They are going to show The Golden Child on tv tonight… or is it tomorrow night? I dunno…

But what’s this about Shrek 3? I saw a clip from 2 and it looks… not too bad actually but of course it won’t hold up to the first… but what the hey I’ll probably see it…

Shrek and Fiona at the Castle where Shrek meets the inlaws… and MIL is asking about kids… looked neat.

I just got back from a matinee. My kids liked it. My 7-year-old was rolling on the floor laughing. It wasn’t too bad. I would have preferred to see Elf or even the Looney Toones movie (the one with Brendan Fraser), but was out-voted.

We saw previews for Peter Pan and that looks great.

I saw it yesterday with my 10yo my husband and my inlaws and we enjoyed it. The props and set decoration were wonderful, and I loved the gypsy ball, and quite liked the barber shop quartet. Is this deep theatre? No, but this is a season that the major studios have offered us the near blasphemy of Mike Myers inserting bathroom jokes into Dr. Seuss. (Does anyone else hope they loose their shirts?) The Brother bear looks ok, but the animation looks second rate. I was just glad to find something that we could all enjoy, and we did.

Ewww—on the floor of a movie theater? With all the spilled root beer and jujubes?

I figured this movie might be good. I remember before Pirates of the Carribean was released I figured it would be a bad movie, but I was going to see it anyway because of pirates. A lot of people said, 'It’ll probably be bad, but I like pirates" and were surprised at how good it was. I figured the same thing with Haunted Mansion, being another movie based on a ride at Disneyland. Thankfully I now have the mind to stay away.

They just called him Lumpy, now.

I saw it yesterday, was practically dragged kicking and screaming. For good reason.

It wasn’t that bad, I guess (of course, I had just seen Timeline a couple days prior, so my standards had been lowered dramatically) but I wouldn’t see it again.

I had forgotten about that haunted house tangent in Delirious, now THAT’S some funny shit.

:stuck_out_tongue: Okay, not literally on the floor. He was all over his seat, though. He uses one of those boosters (he’s small) and kept scooting down off of it and kicking his seat. He’s seven, though. He’s easily amused.

And Mr. Murphy continues his slow slide toward the Land of Mantan.

After Daddy Day Care, I thought he’d already arrived.

You’re, uh, you’re joking, right?
