You will have to put the pictures somewhere that has no relation to any online business. If you don’t have webspace, you can get it free here: http://fff.fathom.org/pages
No mention of any online merchants, no urls that may contain the name of any online merchants or stores or businesses in any way, even if it in no way connects to any t-shirts you may or may not have designed.
*the above link is to an image gallery on my site which I have linked to before for showing family pictures, wedding pictures, my son, etc. The software used to make the gallery, IDS, is freeware, so the link back to itself at the bottom is not selling anything.
So, am I to assume that if I want to order one of the photos from Shutterfly (as one can do with every enlarged pic in your gallery), you will not make any money off it?
That’s right. It is a convenience (built into the gallery software) and I have no connection with Shutterfly. I don’t think they even offer an option where you can make money from it.
Here’s a design I originally made for a t-shirt a couple of months ago. It’s a self portrait done in a sort of graffiti lite style. I gave up on this project because the drawing looks a bit off and I never bothered to ink it. I hate inking.
I have yet to make my own t-shirt.
Open a new window and cut and paste the link into it.
I created the logo for diku’s website a couple of years ago. We did create a t-shirt out of it, but I don’t think we ever sold any to the public so I think I squeak in under the rules you’ve set forth.
When I set up the gallery, I did visit shutterfly to check it out and I didn’t see any info about an affiliate program. Anyway, I did say that I didn’t think they had one. I didn’t say for sure. Anyway, I don’t belong to their affiliate program, nor do I get anything if anyone orders a print from the gallery.
So what do you reckon of the /c4p/ in the URL links from your site to Shutterfly (look in the browser window) - see, some folks might think that’s software tracking ID connected to an affiliate programme ? …Kinda like the one http://www.babycenter.com/ maybe have (link is down the page on the left), except their ID (or non-ID) is /BCTR/ - not very original IMHO if stands for ‘Baby Center TRacking’.
“Place Shutterfly links anywhere on your site that you want. Every time your visitors click through, register at Shutterfly, and complete their initial order, within 45 days, you’ll earn $6.”
Here is a shirt that I have wanted for years and years. I finally had it made last year, and now it’s my official Dopefest™ T-shirt, I wear it to all Dopefests™.
I don’t know. Maybe it is the id of the people who make the gallery software? I haven’t done anything with it, I don’t even know how it generates the links for each image.
I’ve actually sold one or two of these. I didn’t do the original artwork, but I did some editing (with the permission of the artist) and set up the online store. Along the same lines, I worked with the same artist and came up with
