Septic tanks. There was a period of about a month that all I got was spam encouraging me to go out and buy a septic tank. I have never lived anywhere in my life where a septic tank would prove useful. How many people could possibly be purchasing septic tanks through spammed emails?
I’ve been repeatedly infected with the js/noclose virus. For those that don’t know it’s a virus that creates a pop up window you can’t close (or is very difficult to close) at random intervals on your desktop. To make matters even more infurating Norton Anti-Virus doesn’t consider it a virus and doesn’t do anything to stop it. (if you go to their website it says some crap about it’s not a virus b/c it’s payload doesn’t damage your computer at all. Grrrr)
Anyway what is the junk the pop-ups advertise? Spam Blocking Software. Can something be ironic and completely stupid at the same time? It’s like saying “Want us to stop pissing you off? Pay up.” Makes me think the mob made this virus.
… and so on in the same vein…
I have no idea where it comes from, but I am happy to see that I get a better class of spam than the rest of you hoi polloi.
