I am not a lawyer, but I believe that although you have the legal right to photograph someone in public, if it is done with clear intent to harass (and subsequently, on social media is accompanied by an invitation to doxx or stalk the people being photographed), can get you sued and you may be liable for damages. Some Doper lawyers can step in and correct me if wrong.

Not saying you are inviting people to doxx, but I think intent matters.

Home delivery is usually via mail so not good if you need refrigeration.

Meanwhile, I guess things are improving. The last patient was doing her video appointment while shopping at a store but at least she wasn’t driving. What does it take to make people understand that a video visit is a true medical visit? Do I need to ask them to get naked so that I can do a full skin check?

Meanwhile, is there a way to get a mod to correct the title of this thread? I wince every time I see my typo but I didn’t know the thread would last this long.

Strange, but when I scroll to the title (I’m on my phone) it looks as though there’s an editing option with a little pencil.

Update: my neighbor volunteered to drive to Walgreen’s and pick up my Rx every two weeks, so that’s settled. It’s weird that these eyedrops require refrigeration until opened but not after.

It’s because you’re trust level 3, you can edit titles and change categories. Same as me. Title edited.

I feel special! Hope I don’t abuse my power!

I watched 2 cars street racing high speed racing on a fairly straight road in a residential area. Not good.

Both cars had 2 young people each sitting on the doors screaming and waving their arms around in the air. Very not good.

One of the young people sitting on the doors was wearing a face mask. Good?

As has been mentioned before on this board, us humans just aren’t that good at risk assessment.

About five years ago, kaylasmom started taking tasimelteon for her non-24 sleep-wake disorder. It being practically an orphan drug, we couldn’t just go to CVS to pick it up, and it was always delivered by Fed-Ex, packed in cold-packs.

And I’ve been getting raw meat delivered weekly for the past four months. It’s not like we don’t have the necessary technology to manage this for medications.

That said, you’re the physician, and I’ll defer to your expertise.

There’s a typo?

It’s been fixed. And corrected.

This is interesting. I sent the Rx to the mail order pharmacy my insurance company uses. I was surprised to get an alert saying it was ready for pick up at the pharmacy. Walgreen’s said the mail order pharmacy doesn’t mail meds that have to be refrigerated. My guess is it’s cheaper to fill it at a pharmacy than it would be to rush ship it with cold packs.

Brother-in-law texts me and my nephews, noting my sister’s birthday is this weekend, what should we do?

  • My response: YOU should do something, like take her out to a patio dinner or cook dinner / clean the kitchen for her.
  • Youngest nephew: Put her in a nursing home
  • Oldest nephew (who just posted glurge on fb, stating all are welcome at his house, don’t wear a mask and bring your gun): We should have a family BBQ!

I responded “Nope, I’m out”. Youngest nephew was interested. Then his wife must have set him straight and he also declined.

Oldest nephew went on a tear that we’re sheep, it’s a landmark birthday, we’re being mean to his mom, and we can keep our pathetic liberal selves away. Well, okay then.

Last I heard, brother-in-law is making dinner just for the two of them.

Bring your gun to a family barbecue? Geez-o-pete, what sort of family gatherings do you have, anyway?! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Bless his heart, he’s the family idiot.

But you’re still going to do something nice for your Sis’s birthday, right? Just not at the same time as goofnuts nephew.

She and I hit a plant nursery back in June, where she almost literally drooled over a miniature Japanese lilac tree. I bought it for her the following weekend, so technically, she already received her big present.

(Side note: Her sons, my daughter and I all went in together. $50 each. Want to take a wild guess who hasn’t reimbursed me?)

Today, she was kind enough to take me to pick up my vehicle from the shop. For the past few months she has been sending me quick bread ideas and recipes (quick breads have been my COVID kick). So when she picked me up, I gave her six big loaves of a variety of quick breads.

At which point she bitched at me for making her even fatter. I wished her a Happy 60th Birthday and received a swift punch in the arm in response.

Sounds like the perfect brother to sister birthday :birthday:

Well, we have a target range in our field. If one owns a weapon, one is required by common sense to maintain ones skills to remain safe, make sure the weapon/s are well maintained, and safe range rules are followed. If one has children in home, the weapons should be maintained in a safe environment, and all children taught gun safety measures [when really young no touch and tall mom or dad or another adult about it] and when old enough [I was 8 when I had range safety] taught safe weapon handling, and not to touch without permission, until I was given my own weapon.

oooooo /jealous. I love lilacs, one of my favorite flowers and scents.

Brother to sister?
I’m female.
