Anti-vaccine extremist who wanted to get COVID to prove it was like food poisoning says she’s in ‘so much pain’ after catching virus
“I have not taken the COVID vaccine and I don’t plan on ever taking it because it is unsafe and ineffective,” she incorrectly claimed.
Also…
But in a follow-up post, it appeared things had gotten worse with Loomer saying, “just pray for me please. Can’t even begin to explain how brutal the body aches and nausea that come with COVID are. I am in so much pain”.
It sounds like there’s a lot of “Texas” to go around in that story:
It’s good she’s wearing a mask, but going to a restaurant is going to be a relatively risky thing to do. Presumably she’d have to take off her mask at some point to eat. I’m not sure wearing a mask for a limited amount of time in a restaurant is really going to provide the level of protection she is trying to achieve for her immunocompromised son. She probably should only engage in public activities where she can wear a mask the whole time.
But on the flip side, what the hell were they doing taking the kid out in public? At this point you have to know there’s going to be anti-maskers and anti-vaxxers everywhere, so why take the kid somewhere non-essential?
if you read the article, it sounds like the son was back at home (presumably with a babysitter).
In the “Texans are sure trying to make the world think they are ALL morons” vein: apparently the appropriate response to being asked to comply with the law in another state is to attack the person asking you to do so:
It sounds like the parents didn’t want to catch an infection in the restaurant that they could transmit to their son back at home. It seems appropriately cautious to me.
I was in San Bernardino CA a couple of months ago and thought I should go to a dispensary and spend money. The first one I walked into had a big sign saying NO MASKS or you will be asked to leave. Nobody had to ask me to leave, I went half a mile down the road and spent my money at a different dispensary.
(For the record, I was not impressed, both buildings looked grubby inside and out, poor selection and unfriendly, bored staff. I’m spoiled, I guess.)
Yeesh. Now the incident at Carmine’s is being portrayed as racism on the part of the hosts and there are BLM protests attempting to shut the place down.
I don’t see it. The hostess doesn’t appear to even be looking at them. One of the tourists appears to look at her, but there’s no indication why. Given that there’s an African-American hostess working in front of the restaurant, it seems odd to me that racist behaviour would exist there.
This story now reports that all three of the women were able to show proof of vaccination and ate seated, but of three men who came to join them, only one had a vaccination card and the other two were asked to leave.
Still no reason to get violent, though, and no reason for the waitress to use a racial slur, if the report is true. It seems like there is plenty of blame to spread around on both sides.
It’s impressive how many people have been willing to commit crimes, send their livelihoods down the tubes or just sacrifice income and meaningful activities on Covidiot principle.
One of the latest pro athletes to take one for the dumbshit team is Zac Rinaldo, an NHL player who signed a pro deal with the Columbus Blue Jackets but decided he’d be one of the few hockey players to go unvaccinated. From ESPN:
“Rinaldo made headlines when he spoke at a rally in Hamilton on Sept. 16, saying he supported the People’s Party of Canada because it was against vaccine mandates. His unvaccinated status made him an outlier for the Blue Jackets, according to (team President John) Davidson.”
Rinaldo now gets to start the season in the minors, where he’s sacrificing $475,000 in salary on an annual basis for the sake of Freedom.
Two of my colleagues are probably going to quit in the next few months because of workplace vaccine mandates. They both complain about being stripped of the ability to decide what is best for them and their families. They don’t seem to want to mention that the best thing for them is if everyone else in the world gets vaxed (so that that these twits are spared the risk of disease) while they themselves don’t get vaxed (so that these twits are spared the risk of the vaccine). If everyone does this, it’s a classic tragedy of the commons scenario where nobody gets vaxed and everybody loses.
Haven’t any of these people considered that they DO NOT have to be vaccinated - if they undergo weekly testing? Or is that also considered a violation of their principles? (If I were dictator, there would either be no alternate - or the alternate requirement would be daily testing…)
DO NOT put hydrogen peroxide into your nebulizer and breathe it in. This is dangerous!
Reminds me of the story of the two chemists who walked into a bar. The bartender asked for the first one’s order; he says “I’ll have H2O”. After pouring a glass of water, he asks for the second order: “I’ll have H2O, too…”.
