Haha! That was me! I was the victim of the Disembodied Santa Head [Of Death]. It even got Threadspotted. Truly one of my greatest moments on SDMB. Also nice to read now, five years later. My brother’s grown a lot.

My vote goes to cmyk’s DON’T Stump the Guy with Average Knowledge thread.
It was just so unpredictable which answers he would get and not get, and he was such a good sport about the whole thing. It was also funny to see the Braniac Dopers realize they were losing the game if they showed off their own smarts too much.

There was one thread a while back that I absolutely loved. I believe the OP had been on an interview and been asked what kind of animal he would like to be and why. He thought this a strange question and asked the Dopers what kind of animals they would be. Hilarity ensued. There was one post in particular that I still remember. Someone decided they’d like to be pubic lice and used the phrase “calling, calling softly from your underwear…” I couldn’t breathe for laughing.
Since you guy have mad SDMB search skillz, maybe you can clue me in on the whole **Autolycus ** and the ladle thing? I missed that one.

MY question - in the last year there was a “your funniest joke” thread, which kinda got outa hand, as well as funnier and funnier, and finally a mod named something like Mrs Grundy stepped in and closed it. I searched awhile ago and couldn’t locate it. Do the mods have the power to VANISH a thread?
