One my my kitties messed up her knee recently and developed a luxating patella. In English - her kneecap was slipping out of place. We brought her home from surgery this afternoon. When we’re not supervising her, she has to be crated. For 8 weeks. No jumping. Fortunately, she’s a bit of a sedentary creature and has never been interested in trying to climb the bookcases.
Og help us, she hates her crate. We bought the largest dog crate that we could find, but she is quite irritated about being confined. Face-rubbing, pawing, growling, you name it.
Meanwhile, her sister is of the opinion that this strange-smelling cat is not a member of our household, and growls at her nonstop if they’re in the same room together. Last weekend, they were washing each others’ faces. 
We’re going to pick up some Feliway tonight to try to calm them both down. Other than that, does anyone have tips for things that we can do to make things more pleasant for her? We’ve padded the crate, added one or two items that she usually likes to sleep on, and let her out when we can, but she’s very definite in her displeasure.
