I don’t think I’m going to play anymore. The funding freeze just took the wind out of my sails. I don’t play very well, so I need to practice. I can’t practice because I don’t have any funds. I can’t fund the sites so I can’t play for practice. I’m done asking for hand outs from the other players, but do appreciate the loans from all who have contributed. I really enjoyed the weekly games, but this is ridiculous.
Damn Government.
I hear ya, Duke. I have been trying to keep going on play money games and freerolls, but they just don’t play the same, and I would hate to develop bad habits. It’s just not fun anymore.
I’ve been way too busy lately to play or keep up (and I mean anywhere online). Bodog called me and told me they can still process checking account deposits through some other company, but obviously not Neteller anymore. Is anyone else able to get money onto sites right now?
This is what I know about it. Things look pretty grim. Who did Bodog recommend?
I just looked at the MyWebATM signup procedure at FullTilt. Holy crap! :eek: SSN, etc. And apparently they run a credit report on you.
I don’t remember, it was a few weeks ago. I started playing again tonight and won a pts qualifier for $25 tourney credits, so I at least have that to play with. I’ll call them next week and ask them what is up.
I have a pretty good buddy in Mexico, I wonder what would be involved with setting up a Mexican bank account?
Someone floated the idea that we should decrease the stakes to make Our Little Game last longer. Thoughts?

not sure how it works, but I’ll do some more digging-- what I’ve heard is that the easiest thing to do now is use a prepaid Visa/MC card to get money on, then have them physically send you a check to get money off (I was told to do this for pokerstars).
I don’t even know where to get a prepaid Visa, anyone have an idea? I want to say I have seen them in the past at gas stations with calling cards, but I don’t recall seeing any lately
BTW, since funding Our Little Game has become nearly impossible due to the need for port security (insert derisive snort), we are looking into hosting the game ourselves. Last night, ast found Poker Mavens and we played with it a little. Not great, but an alternative. Anybody that may want to get back in our game should install the client and nag the rest of us for a quick tryout game.
You can get a Green Dot prepaid visa from a Coinstar machine. I’ve been meaning to get one, but I didn’t even think about using it for poker. I wonder if it will work?
Go to the Visa website and check out the one-time and reloadable prepaid cards. There is a locator that told me they were available at my local Mobil SuperPantry. I’ll get over there soon and see what happens.
The talk all over the 2 + 2 forums is that this is the way to go - just enter it into the same place as a regular Visa or MC.

For what it’s worth, I told Kitch about our potential switch to Poker Mavens and she said that she had brought it up a long time ago, but had been shot down because of the fact that it only does single-table games. Just thought it was worth giving credit where credit is due.
