For the second week in a row, Shaun Smith has been accused of grabbing somebody’s genitals…but this time, apparently there’s video evidence.
Imho, this is a brilliant play by Shaun Smith: grab somebody’s balls, they go crazy, swing at your helmet, and your team gets free yards. It’s not like it’s skin-on-skin contact…everybody is wearing a cup.
It’s not like the Panthers are going to gain yards any other way, either.
Just tryin’ to up his sac count.

I fixed the thread title so Shaun Smith doesn’t get confused with Sean Smith, who plays corner for the Dolphins, or the wide receivers Steve Smith of the Panthers or Giants.
I have heard that NFLers do not wear cups just some sort of compression shorts.
I have no personal knowledge one way or another. It would seem very strange to me to think they do not wear cups.
Maybe Shaun is just making sure everybody is wearing the proper protective equipment.
Virtually no NFL player wears cups. They make it too difficult to run. Few NFL players were thigh and knee pads either. It’s surprising but true.
Maybe after NutGate, they will.
